I served as project architect from concept through construction documents for the adaptive reuse of two 19th-century manufacturing buildings—an 1891 brick-and-timber structure and a 1921 concrete daylight factory.
Design strategy preserved each building's distinct character: exposed timber beams and painted brick in the round-arch building, oversized industrial windows and concrete structure in the factory. I designed five custom penthouse additions—two with arched openings above the historic building, three with glassy facades atop the concrete tower.
The project includes a landscaped courtyard entry, three ground-floor townhouses with direct street access, and a shared roof deck with bridge and skyline views.
