441 Unit, Mixed Use
NYC's First All-Electric Skyscraper
I led architectural design from the full block rezoning approvals through construction administration for New York's first all-electric high-rise.
The project's tight triangular footprint required strategic layout optimization—I designed residential floor plans that maximized rentable area while maintaining unit quality across 441 market-rate and affordable homes. The facade responds to two contexts: continuous along Flatbush Avenue, stepping back along State Street to respect lower-scale neighbors.
I coordinated city approvals, attended council meetings, and worked with NYC planning agencies to secure entitlements for the mixed-income tower. Design decisions—7.5-foot windows, exposed concrete, integrated appliances—balanced daylighting and construction costs.
Awards: AIA Brooklyn Commendation, ULI Excellence, NYSERDA Buildings of Excellence
Architect: Alloy
